Individual Counseling

The route to finding happiness looks different for everyone and individual counseling will take on many different shapes. I help my clients explore their current perspectives and patterns so that they can decide what is working and what they would like to change. My work centers on depression, anxiety, family conflict, relationships, neurodiversity and more. If you’re here, you’re looking for something different. Individual therapy gives you the chance to process and evaluate issues that are keeping you out of balance.

Couples Counseling

All relationships have times of conflict and challenge. I provide a safe environment which allows couples to learn different communication methods that help them learn how to effectively articulate their needs and goals. You and your partner can learn how to love one another more deeply and meet each other’s needs.

Adolescent/Family Counseling

ADHD Coaching/Consulting

ADHD Skill Coaching offers a supportive, client-driven approach that empowers individuals with ADHD and their families to build practical skills and strategies for everyday success. My coaching emphasizes actionable steps, strengths-based growth, and personal accountability, guiding you toward your goals both now and in the future. With over 15 years as a public educator and firsthand experience parenting a child with ADHD, I bring compassion, understanding, and proven expertise to every session.

Working with families is some of the most rewarding work that I do. I work with clients age 8-18 and my work with the younger clients is often in the context of larger family systems. Primary and extended family members are usually invited into the therapeutic process. This is especially important with my younger clients because the most significant growth often happens within the relationship between children and their parent(s) or caregivers.

What To Expect

An important element of successful therapy is choosing a therapist with whom you feel comfortable and connected. During an initial session we will discuss your goals and reasons for seeking counseling, I can answer any questions you may have about my practice and approach, and we will determine if we will be a good fit going forward.

As part of our initial meeting we will discuss a structure and cadence for appointments that best fits your needs. I encourage clients to meet weekly or bi-weekly, as this fosters consistent and productive therapeutic development. Meeting at other frequencies is also an option when needed and/or appropriate. As a general practice I believe that 3-4 sessions minimum are necessary to establish a cohesive working relationship and create clear goals for therapy. Throughout our work together we will check in about your progress, our therapeutic relationship, and our ongoing work together.

Please be aware of the following billing practices:

I only accept Premera and LifeWise insurance at this time, but I can provide an itemized receipt or superbill that may allow you to receive some reimbursement from your insurance company if you have out-of-network benefits. I cannot guarantee that your insurance will reimburse any of the money you pay, and I advise you to check with your insurance company first (I can provide a list of questions) if you aim to submit for reimbursement.
